Another week coming on.
06.28.04 (7:44 pm)   [edit]
This weekend I took some time off and went to Texas to visit my father. His place is about 7 hours from me so it’s not too bad of a drive. We spent Saturday and Sunday playing some golf. Well playing at golf would be more like it. I’ve only played a total of 5 games now. I usually have about a year in between games to make it even more interesting. So my score wasn’t something I want to remember. But we did have a good time. I don’t get down there enough.

Now back to work. I really need to get some good PT (Physical Training) in this week. Last week was a bust. We have renovations going on in our building which makes taking showers there a mess. Plus last week was a stress week getting things organized for a couple of JCETs (Joint Combined Exchange Training) coming up. But this week must put PT back on the high priority list.

IRAQ: Apparently the administration took the time I wasn’t looking and went ahead and handed over Iraq it the Iraqi interim government. This of course elicited the standard deer in the headlight reactions from the left. Hell I even saw Wesley Clark come out against conducting the hand over early. I guess even he wants to see this operation fail. Well I think it was a good move. This move caught everyone off guard which means it must have been a good idea. Now we’ll see how things progress from here.

South Korean killed.

Well folks here just one of the more important lessons to take from the recent beheadings in the Iraq and Saudi, never ever surrender. Your fate will be sealed. There is no reasoning with these people. The fact is if you are caught in that area of the world you might as well fight to the end and take as many of those bastards with you when you go.

Iran is moving troops to the border and detaining British sailors. One has to wonder if all these people are just mentally challenged. Now look at the BBC’s headline ”UK sailors 'admit Iran incursion”. What is in the report is that the sailors admit to mistakenly entering Iranian waters. But then even this statement cannot be taken at face value. They are in custody of a militant country with known fundamentalist. Why would the BBC present this incident in this way? You would think that even if they don’t like America don’t they at least support their fellow countrymen. I guess not.

And how long will it take the free world to realize what we face? I guess that’s really a question directed at the left which seems to be so unhappy that socialism isn’t taking off like they wish that anything that hurts Bush is ok with them.

Allies
06.17.04 (12:38 pm)   [edit]
I have read in a few articles, on a number of blog and blog comments that the United States has abandoned her allies for this War on Terror and Iraq. What does this mean? At what time in history when our allies needed us did we walk away? I don’t remember one single time. Yet, these so called allies don’t seem to have a problem with abandoning the United States when it suits them.

All of our “Allies” sure do want the contracts that may arise out of Iraq but very few want to put out the effort to bring peace to the area. Of course they are probably just pissed that we disrupted the Oil for food scam many of them seemed to be enjoying the benefits from. Some obviously like selling questionable merchandise.

I don’t really mind if they don’t support the war (s) but to actively work against it does bother me.

There is another thing that’s bothering me. We don’t hear near as much about how we screwed up going to war over WMD now that sarin was found. The charge now is directed at an Iraq / Al-Qiada link. As I remember it the war was over the failure of Iraq to comply with a cease fire and UN resolutions. There were simply many other good reasons beyond that.

Anyway, I haven’t been posting much lately. It’s not that I haven’t wanted to but with all the other great bloggers out there it’s hard to say anything new or as good. Plus work has been pretty busy and a two year old son takes most of my spare time. But I will try to keep up a little better.

Something is seriously wrong with France
06.10.04 (11:05 am)   [edit]
Bardot fined for 'race hate' book

The charges against Bardot, 69, related to her best-seller, A Cry In The Silence, in which she said she "opposed the Islamisation of France".

Is France just F**ked up or what? Although the fine was pretty low. I haven't read the book but from what's reported it's a hell of a lot less than islamic groups in france are calling for. I guess in France you can't have an opinion. But thats is also happening slowly here in the US.

He will be missed
06.06.04 (6:22 am)   [edit]
President Reagan presided over a military on the rebound. With his optimism and beliefs he began the building process that led to the greatest military in modern history. He left us with a country to be proud of and the knowledge that there are good men left in the world. He showed us that peace comes from strength not capitulation. He will be missed.
